Funtua Inland Dry Port

Funtua is about 200km to the northwest of Abuja, the Federal Capital of Nigeria. It is also about 800km from Lagos seaports as well as a nodal town that connects the northwestern states of Sokoto, Zamfara, Kebbi, Kaduna, Katsina, and Kano. The town is also in close proximity to Niger Republic.

Originally known as the centre of hide and skin, cotton and groundnut production in Northern Nigeria and, to a greater extent, the entire country, Funtua has over the years acquired reputation as a very rich agricultural zone as a result of its fertile land and good weather. Production of produce such as corn, maize, soya beans, etc. have been in abundance. This has attracted a lot of agro-allied industries to establish factories in Funtua over the last few decades.
